At 22, I never imagined writing a novel.
That’s not true, I began at 21.
A quick blow to my proverbial head, or that fact that I took up smoking and whiskey, led me to writing.
I am supposedly a painter, first. In July, I am moving to NYC and attending Cooper Union.
We’ll see where that goes.

Congratulations Cooper Union is one of the best places in the world, I graduated Art ‘71 yes that is before you were born. I like your blog, I was just looking for tag Bronx. I used to live in the Bronx with my grandparents the first year at Cooper Union, it was the East Bronx and I loved that long subway ride, can’t remember the exact train but sometimes I’d take the local I loved it so much. I don’t think there was as much “ass grabbing” then. The next year I moved in with a friend then moved to apt on Corner of St. Marks and 2nd, then was eighty five dollars a month, then later on to the west side 765 Washington St. which cost more like $125/mo. Made films, took photos, painted, made love. You’ll get used to the subways and stuff. I envy you and would do it again if time could go backwards.

I’m flattered that someone I don’t already know has found and is reading this. It must have been exciting for you to come up to NYC (I know I’m going out of my skin). Do you have a website showcasing yor art? I am interesting in seeing it. You can also email me at writteninthemargins@gmail.com
